Rightsizing for Home Health

This client had fallen ill and was anxiously awaiting hospital discharge, but doctors wouldn’t release him until his home was clean, safe, and suitable for recovery. With limited mobility and the recent loss of his wife, the home had become cluttered—narrow walkways and household overflow made it difficult to navigate.

Rightsizing Services
We began with the great room, which was crowded with excess furniture, collections, rehab equipment, and general clutter. By thoughtfully editing the furnishings, we opened up the space to improve flow and functionality without sacrificing comfort. Next, we turned to the kitchen—clearing expired items and old appliances to create clean, usable countertops for safe meal prep. Finally, we cleared the dining area, which had become a drop zone for incoming items. Once the table was reset and the space restored, we joined the family in eagerly awaiting the client’s return.

In addition to decluttering, we coordinated essential vendor and contractor support—overseeing deep cleaning, critical repairs, washer and dryer relocation, air conditioning installation, window and slider repairs, and the addition of a handicap-accessible lift. These upgrades ensured that the home wasn’t just functional, but fully supportive of his recovery journey.
